Kristen Smith D.M.D.
Dr. Kristen Smith sincerely appreciates the patient-doctor relationship and seeks to form a partnership with each patient she serves. She understands that individuals bring unique concerns and fears about dental treatment, and she incorporates honesty and gentleness to her care. Dr. Smith welcomes all questions and moves forward with treatment only when patients are ready.
Her personal history includes over eight years in braces and countless hours in the dental chair due to a genetic condition involving many missing teeth. The effect of quality dentistry on her own confidence and self-esteem still drives her to contribute to others today.
Dr. Kristen Smith graduated with a bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Oregon State University. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland Oregon. Dr. Smith joined Dr. Kinley Adams as an associate in 2008 after returning home from three years practicing dentistry in Washington.
After Dr. Adams’ sudden passing in 2013, Dr. Smith felt led to continue caring for his amazing patients and dedicated staff. A desire to maintain Dr. Adams’ third generation family legacy is one of the supporting fundamentals of this practice. Dr. Smith loves the history here and enjoys admiring the wonderful gold fillings from Dr. Kinley and Dr. Kenard Adams that are still in service!
Dr. Smith feels blessed to have had the opportunity to work with and know Dr. Adams. She enjoyed and valued their regular lunch conversations about dental cases and deeply misses his friendship and laugh. She’s committed to carrying on the excellence in care stretching across many decades.
She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Smith believes learning never ends and she regularly attends continuing education seminars. She’s also a member of the prestigious Spear Study Club.
Whenever she’s not in the office, Dr. Smith enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband and two young children.
Dr. Ross Emerick
Dr. Ross Emerick is excited to be serving the community in which he was raised. Dr. Emerick graduated from South Salem High School and received his Bachelor's degree from Oregon State University. Dr. Emerick found his calling in dentistry while observing a dental implant being placed by his mom’s dentist. He graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in southern California and since then, he has committed to expanding his dental knowledge and clinical skills. Dr. Emerick completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry with the U.S. Army and served as a dentist at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA.
When away from the office, he loves spending time with his wonderful wife and raising their five children.
